Checklist of the Occult and Esoteric

Catholic Handbook of Deliverance Prayers

Catholic Handbook of Deliverance Prayers

Taken from: Catholic Handbook of Deliverance Prayers by Fr. Jose Francisco C. Syquia

The list does not exhaust all the occult practices in both Philippines folk religiosity and the New Age Movement, it presents many of the more common doorways by which the world of the spirits (fallen angels) enter in an extraordinary manner into the life of a Filipino Catholic.

As Catholics, we should never seek benefits from spiritual powers outside of God or open doorways by which evil spirits may attack us extraordinarily.

The following practices and beliefs go against directly or indirectly the 1st commandment.  Purifying our Catholic faith not only pleases God but allows the fullness of God’s graces, blessings, gifts and protection to enter into our lives.

Since defining each of these practices and beliefs does the necessary research to attain not only a more complete picture of each but also discover for himself their esoteric and occult connections, sources and origins.
